Improving Your Mental Health One Brushstroke At A Time

Weekly classes, workshops and 1-2-1 therapeutic arts sessions are offered in a unique and creative studio space located at the Brighton Open Market. Sessions are facilitated by Anniek Verholt who is an artist, art educator and artistic therapist with 25+ years of experience in the field of Therapeutic Arts. After her art therapy training in the Netherlands (BA '96 - '00) Anniek worked for some years in Greece before she came to the UK to continue her studies. What started as a MFA became a MA Glass (Art & Design '04) at the national glass centre in Sunderland - a further dive into the world of art for well-being.

Anniek has a compassionate and positive approach to self-development and works with adults as well as children with or without any artistic experience.

Besides her Brighton studio she works with private clients in her practice in London (Baker street) as well as online and on location as workshop facilitator in prison, for health organisations and companies promoting employee wellbeing.

Her sessions often involve a use of art materials however no experience is required.
